The film has a dedication at the end:
For Ingmar and Michelangelo.
✞ 30.7.2007

I was scouting for locations in Gangi when I got the
phone call from the European Film Academy with the
news of the death of our former President Ingmar
Bergman that night. That was a very sad day to prepare
a shoot. The very next morning, as I was returning
to the town in my car, the only traffic policeman
at the only intersection stopped me and motioned me
to roll down the window. I was wondering what I
could have done wrong as he leaned into the window
and said compassionately: “And last night
Michelangelo Antonioni died!” In what other place in
the world something like that could have happened,
except a little mountain town in Sicily!
